About the role
Responsible for supervising nursing staff, ensuring high-quality resident care, and maintaining a safe environment.
Responsibilities
- Assigns staff duties according to policies, promotes teamwork, and encourages proper resident care within acceptable time frames.
- Performs resident rounds, assesses care needs, and reports concerns promptly.
- Receives and completes shift reports, manages staff performance, and disciplines when necessary.
- Supports staff development by addressing performance issues positively and promoting responsibility and accountability.
- Reviews and updates care plans based on assessments, implements nursing interventions, and documents resident and family education.
- Participates actively in direct resident care, responds to call lights, assists with ADLs, and ensures timely delivery of care.
- Maintains a clean, safe, and comfortable environment, and adheres to safety protocols.
- Coordinates activities across the facility, analyzes problems, and initiates solutions.
- Handles crises professionally, investigates concerns or incidents, and communicates actions to leadership.
Qualifications
- Current RN license in the applicable state.
- Two years of supervisory experience in long-term care preferred.
- Three to five years of nursing or similar long-term care experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift, and assist residents as needed.
- Manual dexterity, visual acuity, and documentation skills.
Pay
$63,943 - $106,407 annually.
