About the role
Apex Rehabilitation & Care Center, a 5-Star facility, is looking for a passionate and hard-working Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor to join our team. We welcome new grads! This is a full-time, part-time position with 12 hour shifts available for supervision.
Responsibilities
- Guide and direct the activities of certified nursing assistants, RN's, and LPN's
- Review and modify care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team
- Attend care planning and discharge planning reviews
- Provide patient/family education
- Provide a direct line of communication between patients, nursing staff and physicians
- Communicate with patients and their family members as needed, and offer emotional support and compassionate care to patients and families in distress
- Administer treatments, perform special tests, document treatment, and respond to patient care emergencies
- Perform required skills (assessment, intervention) according to guidelines, forms, policies and procedures
- Develop care plan that demonstrates knowledge of criteria to ascertain residents specific needs based on health care problem(s)
- Carry out care plan that demonstrates familiarity with criteria to establish resident priorities specific to anticipated outcomes
- Implement physicians' orders; administer medications, start IVs, perform treatments, procedures and special tests and document treatment as required by company policy and local/state/federal rules and regulations
Qualifications
- Current New York State Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum Associates Degree
- BSN preferred
- Must have effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Must be creative and have good observations and analytical skills

Full-time 3-11 / Part-time 7-3 weekends and 12 hour shifts available.
