About the role
Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center's 4B BMT/Cellular Therapy/Hematology Oncology unit is a 16-bed facility dedicated to caring for patients with hematologic malignancies undergoing bone marrow/stem cell transplants, CAR-T Cell and other investigational therapies. The team emphasizes inclusivity, teamwork, and exemplary patient care.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and effective communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Assist in the supervision and mentoring of less experienced nurses.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- 6 months of RN experience
- Minimum two years nursing experience preferred
- Previous management experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Qualifications
- Appropriate professional certification (clinical or leadership) required within 1 year of eligibility for certification exam
- May require additional education, training, certifications, or experience within the department by the nurse leader

40 Hours: (2) 12 hour shifts in staffing; (2) 8 hour shifts in administration
