About the role
The 11T Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Status position is a full-time night shift role at Carolinas Medical Center. The position is eligible for benefits and offers a sign-on bonus for new hires.
Responsibilities
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
- Use evidence-based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skills communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
- Collaborate with the Integrated Enhanced Recovery (ERAS) GI Center of Excellence team to engage in research, quality improvement, and publication activities.
- Lead initiatives to promote clinical advancement and career growth in the field of nursing.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- 6 months of RN experience
- Minimum two years nursing experience preferred
- Previous management experience preferred
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required
Qualifications
- RN candidates for external hire or internal promotion without BSN must be enrolled in a BSN program within 1 year of Hire/Transfer date and must complete program within 3 years of enrollment in the program.
- Appropriate professional certification (either clinical or leadership) is required within 1 year of eligibility for professional certification exam.
Skills
Strong clinical skills, ability to lead and mentor, and proficiency in ERAS protocols are essential.

Schedule
Full-time night shift, 3 12-hour shifts/week, rotating holidays and weekends expected.
