About the role
As a Surgical/Trauma ICU Nurse in our 16-bed unit, you will be an integral part of an interdisciplinary team, providing critical care and treatment to surgical and trauma intensive care patients. Your work will directly impact the patient experience in this high-acuity setting.
Responsibilities
- Deliver specialized nursing care to surgical and trauma ICU patients.
- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient treatment.
- Participate in hospital and system-wide nursing committees, unit councils, and evidence-based research projects.
- Precept new staff and engage in the Clinical Ladder program for professional development.
Requirements
- One year of recent ICU nursing experience required.
- Surgical/Trauma ICU nursing experience preferred.
- RN Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- PA RN license or a multi-state license verified in an approved Nursing Licensure Compact state.
- Provider BLS certification (American Heart Association or American Red Cross) preferred.
