About the role
The Acute Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit at Southern Tennessee Regional Health System - Lawrenceburg is seeking a dynamic and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our interdisciplinary team. This position offers a rewarding opportunity to contribute to the recovery and well-being of patients.
Responsibilities
- Provides direct patient care using the nursing process.
- Administers medications, collects specimens, performs clinical treatments, and coordinates medical care.
- Documents patient care and communicates with the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
- Aids patients with daily activities such as hygiene, eating, and mobility.
- Collaborates with therapists and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Evaluates patient learning needs and educates patients and families about their conditions and care.
- Serves as a patient advocate, ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Requirements
- Current Tennessee or compact state RN license.
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school.
- One year of previous experience preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Provider (NRP) certifications within specified timeframes.
Qualifications
- Requires critical thinking, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently.
- Capable of working in a high-stress environment and taking appropriate actions.
Skills
Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills are essential. Proficiency in computer systems and software is also required.

Schedule
Variable schedule, 1x12 per pay period, 1 weekend per month.
