About the role

The Radiology Department at Carolinas Medical Center is a specialized procedural area that provides expert care for patients undergoing diagnostic and interventional imaging. Radiology nurses manage patient preparation, moderate sedation, and recovery for a wide range of procedures, overseeing care across multiple modalities including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Diagnostic X-ray, Nuclear Medicine, and PET.

Responsibilities

  • Manage patient preparation, sedation, and recovery for various imaging and interventional procedures.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe, efficient, and compassionate care.
  • Provide high-level clinical assessments and lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and best patient experience.

Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
  • At least 6 months of RN experience.
  • Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
  • American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
  • American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 6 months of hire.

  • Essential in ensuring safe, efficient, and compassionate care for both inpatient and outpatient populations undergoing complex imaging and interventional procedures.

Pay

  • Base compensation listed within the listed pay range based on factors such as qualifications, skills, relevant experience, and/or training.

Schedule

  • 3, 12 hour shifts per week.
