What You'll Do

  • Assess consumers and document pertinent information including Triage, Behavioral Health, Physical Health, and/or Substance Abuse issues
  • Demonstrate knowledge of Crisis Intervention and the ability to de-escalate potentially aggressive situations
  • Provide education to consumers and their families regarding Behavioral Health diagnosis, medications, and treatments
  • Complete detailed Nursing Assessments with individuals and document pertinent information including Triage, Medical/Behavioral Health assessments, and medication administration utilizing appropriate assessment tools
  • Accurately record all medication brought in by individual on medication reconciliation/storage form
  • Plan individual treatment as part of the Multidisciplinary Clinical team
  • Provide education concerning Psychiatric diagnosis, treatment options, psychopharmacology, and overall health literacy to individuals, families, and all others involved in the individual's care
  • Intervene with appropriate verbal interventions to diffuse out of control or potentially dangerous behaviors
  • Demonstrate ability to effectively use therapeutic option theory and technique and describe and demonstrate their roles and responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a thorough knowledge of Seclusion/Restraint standards, guidelines, techniques and initiate documentation and debriefing with individuals for any seclusion/restraint incidents as required
  • Accurately transcribe Provider orders and administer medications as prescribed
  • Attempt to have individual sign medication consent form
  • Perform chart checks and sign off as a second noted on medications prescribed
  • Draw labs and provide wound care as ordered by Providers when required
  • Complete nurse to nurse at discharge or when accepting individual from another facility
  • Perform all other duties as assigned

What You'll Bring

  • Graduated from an accredited Nursing program
  • Unrestricted active license as Registered Professional Nurse through State Board of Nursing or hold a multistate licensure privilege
  • Must be able to perform Safe Clinch patient restraint techniques
  • American Heart Association BLS
  • The Company has a mandatory vaccination policy. All successful applicants must be fully vaccinated, including showing proper documentation, or otherwise be exempt pursuant to the Company's exemption process prior to their start date as a condition of employment
  • Complete all credentialing requirements within the required time period, including but not limited to obtaining a National Provider Identifier (NPI), Medallion enrollment, Medicare enrollment, and any other necessary credentials as required for the role

Physical Requirements

  • Safely perform physical interventions (e.g., standing, pivoting, reaching, kneeling, lowering to the floor, and supporting another person's weight)
  • Lift, push, pull, or carry up to 50 lbs. occasionally
  • Tolerate prolonged walking, standing, and observation in a fast-paced environment
  • Work with individuals who may exhibit agitation, aggression, or unpredictable behavior

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing
  • At least 3 years of psychiatric, behavioral health or relevant experience
  • Previous emergency room or crisis psychiatric care experience
  • Experience working with individuals with addiction and addiction management

Pay

Kirkland, Washington Pay Range: $49 - $70.75 USD

Shift Differentials

  • +$2/hr -> Monday-Thursday Nights
  • +$6/hr -> Friday-Sunday Nights
  • +$2/hr -> Saturday-Sunday Days
