About the role

The Registered Nurse (RN) at PAM Health is responsible for utilizing the nursing process while delivering, directing, and supervising care to patients admitted to the nursing unit. Responsibilities include interdisciplinary planning, discharge planning, patient and family teaching for post-hospitalization, and accessing community resources.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process to deliver, direct, and supervise care to patients admitted to the nursing unit.
• Participates in interdisciplinary planning.
• Coordinates discharge planning.
• Taught patients and families about post-hospitalization care.
• Accesses community resources for patients.
• May perform additional duties as directed by the Chief Nursing Officer/Director of Nursing, Nurse Manager, or Charge Nurse, including Charge Nurse (ACLS certification required).

Requirements

• Holds a current licensure as a registered nurse (RN) in the state where the hospital resides, or compact licensure if state participates.
• Current BLS certification is required.
• Evidence of ACLS certification is required within 90 days of employment.
• AHA approved ACLS certification must be obtained within 90 days of employment.
• Charge Nurses must have current ACLS certification.
• One year of inpatient medical-surgical nursing experience preferred but not required.
