Registered Nurse (RN) - PRN General Surgery/GYN

About the role

This position provides nursing care to patients using the nursing process, directs and leads other assigned team members, and collaborates with multidisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive care.

Responsibilities

• Provides patient/family centered care addressing physical, emotional, spiritual, cultural, religious, and environmental needs.
• Maintains a safe, therapeutic, and healing environment through ensuring patient privacy and professional behavior.
• Demonstrates ability to function in a professional setting through active participation in shared governance, adherence to standards of care, and professional development.
• Coordinates the delivery of patient care services through care management principles, identifying clinical priorities, and improving patient outcomes.
• Functions in a professional practice model through participation in shared governance, promoting a healthy work environment, and accepting personal responsibility for professional growth.

Requirements

• South Carolina or Compact State RN License.
• American Heart Association BLS Certification.

Qualifications

• Ability to stand or sit for extended periods of time.
• Proficiency in manual dexterity and fine motor skills.
• Capacity to lift and move patients or medical equipment as needed.
• Visual acuity and color perception.
• Auditory ability to communicate effectively and perceive important sounds.
• Stamina and resilience to handle physical and emotional demands of patient care.
• Mobility to navigate clinical environments.
• Compliance with infection control protocols and proper use of personal protective equipment.
