Registered Nurse RN PRN Days 4th MedSurg

About the Role

Registered Nurse (RN) for the 3rd Floor Med/Surg Unit at St Mary’s Health Care System. This 28-bed unit cares for post-operative surgical patients and general med/surg patients and operates as a TogetherTeam unit partnered with Virtual nurses. The RN works in a collaborative, interdisciplinary environment delivering evidence-based, individualized patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients and develop, evaluate, and modify care plans under limited supervision.
• Interpret and perform complex patient-care procedures specific to expertise.
• Function as a member of the Care Team and Support Team to accomplish patient outcomes identified in the pathway/plan of care.
• Provide professional care to a group of patients for a designated time frame using the nursing process, environment/technology, and collaboration with other healthcare team members.
• Facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.

Requirements

• Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Georgia.
• Graduation from an accredited nursing education program approved by the Board of Nursing or found by the Board to be substantially equivalent to Georgia programs.
• Successful completion of a refresher course within the past 6 months if nursing practice has not occurred within the past 5 years.
• Prior experience in med/surg nursing preferred.
