About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) at The Pavilion at Stow provides direct nursing care to residents and supervises the activities of licensed practical/vocational nurses and certified nursing assistants.
Responsibilities
- Directs the daily activities of the licensed practical/vocational nurse and certified nursing assistants.
- Fulfills the nursing model to promote holistic care for the residents.
- Ensures compliance with policies and procedures by nursing personnel.
- Schedules follow-up appointments and transportation needs for residents.
- Provides nursing leadership to nursing personnel.
- Performs direct care skills such as colostomy changes, tube feedings, wound care, suctioning, IV administration, etc.
- Performs rounds to ensure resident needs are being met and personnel are performing their duties.
- Collaborates with other members of the interdisciplinary team to meet residents' needs.
- Participates in management team meetings to discuss census changes, resident status changes, or complaints.
Requirements
- Prior experience in long-term care preferred but not required.
- Nursing degree from an accredited college or university.
- Current unrestricted license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in practicing state.
- Current CPR certification.
