Under general supervision, the Registered Nurse provides individualized, goal-directed patient care in a designated correctional clinic or specialized area at the competent level, utilizing the principles and practices of the nursing process. Delivers safe and effective care and interacts with other members of the health care team to achieve desired results.

Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
- Minimum of one year of work experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor of Nursing degree preferred.
- Licensed as a Registered Nurse by the South Carolina Board of Nursing or a compact state.
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) with American Heart Association (AHA) required.
- Some positions require certification in AHA Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), AHA Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), NIHSS Stroke Scale Certification, and Crisis Prevention training.
Pay
Hourly pay grade: Health-28.
Schedule
- PRN (as-needed) position requiring availability to work at least 12 hours bi-weekly, based on departmental demands.
- Rotating shifts.
- Work hours may vary (increase or decrease) depending on the needs of the unit.
