Registered Nurse (RN) - Primary Care

About the role

Part‑time, 24‑hour day shift Registered Nurse position in the MaineHealth Medical Group Primary Care practice in Wiscasset, Maine. Work in an outpatient setting building lasting relationships with patients and families, delivering compassionate, patient‑centered care alongside providers, medical assistants and the care team.

Responsibilities

• Triaging patient concerns
• Coordinating care
• Providing patient education
• Administering treatments and immunizations
• Helping patients manage acute and chronic health conditions
• Promoting preventive care
• Coordinating specialty services
• Ensuring continuity of care

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing (BSN preferred)
• Current applicable state RN license
• Current BLS certification (or obtain within 30 days of start)
• Minimum one year of recent RN experience (required for RN II level)

Qualifications

Registered Nurse II level: competent in clinical role, able to care for most patients assigned, knows how to obtain appropriate resources to develop needed skills and knowledge over time, and qualifies for automatic advancement after one year as an RN I (provided onboarding requirements are met and the employee remains in good standing).
