Registered Nurse RN Pre Admin PRN
About the Role
We are seeking an Admission Registered Nurse to direct, facilitate, and coordinate admissions to our facility. As part of an amazing team that works collaboratively to support each other, you will play a key role in transforming care delivery and advancing clinical outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Initiate the nursing component of the Interdisciplinary Assessment for all new admissions.
- Review transferring information from other facilities and assimilate that with assessment data to assist team members in developing the plan of care.
- Act as a liaison with admissions, pharmacy, acute care facilities, and other departments to facilitate a smooth admission process.
- Evaluate all scheduled admissions for appropriateness.
- Make bed assignments for new admissions and transfers.
- Coordinate the patient's care and identified needs with other services and departments throughout the hospital.
- Coordinate transfer of patients between hospitals.
Requirements
- Must be licensed as a Florida Registered Nurse in accordance with state regulations or hold an appropriate compact licensure (active FL RN license required within 60 days of hire if compact license is held).
- Nursing Diploma or ASN required; BSN preferred.
- One to two years’ experience with an acute care facility.
- American Heart Association BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- Critical thinking, service excellence, and strong interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to read and comprehend written instructions and follow verbal instructions.
- PC skills.

About the Facility
HCA Florida Trinity Hospital is a 340-bed hospital serving Hillsborough, Pasco, and Pinellas counties.
