Required Certifications and Licenses
- Active NJ RN License or Multistate RN License with NJ Endorsement
- BLS certification through American Heart Association
- Graduate from an accredited NLN School of Nursing
Scheduling Requirements
- Day Shift: 7:00am - 7:00pm
- Every other weekend required
- Schedule during the week will vary depending on department needs
Essential Functions
The role of the Professional Registered Nurse involves providing quality nursing care in collaboration with the medical staff and adhering to the New Jersey State Nurse Practice Act. Responsibilities include implementing the hospital's mission and goals through established policies, procedures, and performance improvement activities. This includes organizing and administering individualized age-specific professional nursing care to patients within an assigned unit of the hospital, incorporating principles of growth and development to assess each patient's age-specific needs and determine appropriate treatment modalities.
