Registered Nurse RN - Intensive Care Unit - Per Diem Day

About the role

Monmouth Medical Center’s Intensive Care Unit is seeking a Per Diem Registered Nurse to provide nursing care in accordance with the Nurse Practice Act, regulatory standards, and the ANA code of ethics. The position is located at 300 Second Avenue, Long Branch, NJ 07740 and works day shifts.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care within scope of practice and assure awareness of ethical standards (ANA code of ethics).
• Assure safety in practice, apply evidence‑based principles, and advance knowledge of self and the care team through communication and resource utilization.
• Report identified safety issues such as hazardous environments (damaged floors/walls/ceiling tiles/unsecured areas) and medical errors.
• Maintain knowledge of the patient population served.
• Supervise and direct delegation of tasks to appropriate team members and collaborate with other patient care providers.
• Consistently set and evaluate priorities through interventions with measurable outcomes toward improvement.
• Utilize the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualize the plan of care for each patient’s needs.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma.
• One to two years’ experience within the specialty.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Proficient computer skills.
• BLS and ACLS certification.
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License.
• Valid New Jersey State Driver’s License (must be maintained).
