Registered Nurse RN -Physical Medicine Rehab 2N
About the role
You will work in our Inpatient Rehabilitation Program (IRP), a CARF-accredited, stroke-certified rehabilitation unit that functions as a specialized admission service within the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Care for medically complex patients while developing strong rehabilitation-focused nursing skills.
- Work with a diverse patient population including individuals recovering from strokes and brain injuries, patients with other neurological conditions, patients following kidney and liver transplants, and patients receiving oncology, dialysis, or hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBO) services.
- Participate in a minimum of three hours of therapy daily (physical, occupational, and speech therapy as appropriate).
- Reinforce therapy goals and promote functional independence.
- Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care through the nursing process.
- Lead efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices.
- American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification.
