Registered Nurse (RN) - Per Diem/PRN

About the role

Kessler Institute for Rehabilitation is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to join our dynamic team. The position offers a competitive compensation of $54.00/Hour plus shift differential, with the opportunity to work at any of our Northern locations including Chester, Saddle Brook, and West Orange.

Responsibilities

• Partner with a Nursing Assistant to manage a manageable case load.
• Help patients achieve outlined goals and milestones based on their unique patient care plan.
• Receive admissions and/or transfers.
• Conduct initial and ongoing systematic patient assessments.
• Ensure timely and accurate documentation using EPIC.
• Interpret assessment/diagnostic data including labs and telemetry.
• Transcribe and process medical orders accurately.
• Promote continuous quality improvement.
• Instruct and counsel patients/families.

Requirements

• Valid State RN License required.
• BLS required at hire.
• Minimum of 1 year as a full-time RN in an acute care, med/surg, acute medical rehabilitation or related hospital setting.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or enrollment in a BSN program preferred.
• Clinical experience preferred.

Per Diem Requirement

• Four (4) shifts per 6-week schedule.
• One Saturday or Sunday, one minor holiday/ major holiday.
