Job Overview

RWJBH is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Pediatrics II Adolescent Unit at the Bristol Myers Squibb Children’s Hospital at the New Brunswick campus.

Qualifications

• ASN or Nursing Diploma
• PALS
• 3 to 5 years of pediatrics RN experience
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Proficient computer skills

Preferred: BSN or must be completed within 5 years upon hire. Pediatric RN experience highly preferred.

Certifications And Licenses

• BLS and ACLS certification
• Active New Jersey Registered Nurse License

Essential Functions

• Provides nursing care within the scope of practice defined by the Nurse Practice Act and regulatory standards, adhering to ethical standards of practice as defined by the ANA code of ethics.
• Ensures safety in practice, including awareness of own knowledge and experience, and advances knowledge through communication and utilization of available resources.
• Reports identified safety issues such as hazardous environments and medical errors.
• Understands the patient population served and supervises/delegates tasks to appropriate team members.
• Collaborates with other patient care providers and consistently sets/evaluates priorities through appropriate interventions with measurable outcomes.
• Utilizes the nursing process to integrate all aspects of care and individualizes the plan of care to address specific patient needs.

Pay

The anticipated hourly wage range for this position is $47.85 - $71.72 per hour. The compensation offered will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills, and professional experience.
