Registered Nurse RN Pediatric General

About the role

Banner Health is seeking a Pediatric Nurse to join our team at Banner Thunderbird Medical Center. The ideal candidate will provide medical care to children from birth through late teens in our 40+ bed pediatric unit.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and standards of professional nursing practice.
• Develop and revise a plan of care based on patient needs, assessment data, and the medical plan of care.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and effective communication among healthcare providers.
• Delegating tasks to other licensed nurses and supervising the activities of the health care team.
• Evaluate patient progress towards goals and expected outcomes in collaboration with other health care team members.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers regarding patient status and care plans.
• Participate in research activities and contribute to improving patient outcomes through timely, effective, efficient, equitable, and safe care.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
• BLS certification.
• One year experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Experience in the clinical area for which he or she is applying is desired.
• Maintain clinical performance competencies appropriate to the area in which they work as demonstrated through annual validations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred.
