About the role

The Banner Boswell MS PCU Oncology Unit is a 22-bed unit with the capacity to flex up to 42 semi-private rooms. It specializes in treating Medical Oncology patients and general surgery cases. Nurses on this unit work with a team culture focused on patient outcomes and a customer-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Affirmatively assesses, plans, implements, evaluates, and documents nursing care of patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards.
• Plans care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team and revises the plan of care based on patient progress and feedback.
• Delegates tasks appropriately and supervises the activities of the health care team.
• Evaluates patient responses to care and teaching, and adjusts the plan of care as necessary.
• Communicates effectively with other healthcare providers and maintains accurate documentation in the patient record.
• Works collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care.

Requirements

• Minimum of 18 months of RN work experience.
• Minimum of 12 months of recent work experience on a Progressive Care Unit.
• BLS and ACLS certifications are required upon hire.
• Completion of a post-offer occupational health physical assessment, drug screen, and background check.

Qualifications

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure for current state of practice.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred.

Pay

• Varies based on experience and qualifications.

Schedule

• Varies, including Night shifts (7PM - 7:30AM) and Day shifts (7AM - 7:30PM).
• Two shifts per month minimum.
• One weekend shift per schedule period.
• Additional flat rate weekend differential of $3/hour.
• 18% shift differential when applicable.
