Registered Nurse RN PCU Oncology

About the role

The Banner Boswell PCU Oncology Unit is a 22-bed unit with capabilities for remote cardiac monitoring. It serves both Medical Oncology patients and general surgical cases, including urology, plastics, gynecological, and abdominal surgeries. Overflow medical patients with conditions like pneumonia, diabetes, renal disease, GI issues, and skin disorders are also accommodated.

Responsibilities

• Affectionately assess, plan, implement, evaluate, and document nursing care for patients in accordance with organizational policies and professional nursing standards.
• Develop and revise a plan of care based on patient needs, assessment data, and interdisciplinary input.
• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure continuity of care and effective communication among healthcare providers.
• Delegate tasks appropriately and provide supervision to other licensed nurses and support staff.
• Evaluate patient progress towards goals and adjust the plan of care as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare providers regarding patient status and care plans.
• Participate in research and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and clinical practice.

Requirements

• Current, valid RN license in state of practice, temporary/interim RN license, or compact RN licensure.
• BLS certification.
• One year experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.
• Experience in oncology or surgical nursing preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
• Professional certification in relevant field preferred.

Pay

$15,000 sign-on bonus for FT Night shift positions.

Schedule

Varied shifts, including FT Day and Night shifts, 7:00-7:30.
