Registered Nurse (RN) (Part-Time) Critical Care Float Pool - Central Support
About the Role
The Clinical Nurse II collaborates with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to provide pediatric patient care. This role involves independently applying the nursing process through assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation, and documentation. The nurse resolves patient problems and needs by applying multidisciplinary team strategies, coordinates appropriate care considering the patient's age, developmental level, and size, and ensures adherence to infection-control policies, medication administration, storage procedures, and controlled substance regulations. The role also involves identifying personal limitations, seeking resources as needed, and maintaining collaborative relationships within healthcare teams through communication and team problem-solving methods.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree in Nursing
- 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Current California RN License
- BLS for Healthcare Providers (issued by American Heart Association)
- PALS (American Heart Association) (within 3 months of hire)
- NRP (American Heart Association)
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing
- 3 years of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Professional nursing certification
- Pediatric nursing experience in a comparable, high-acuity department
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
Pay
The current salary range for this position is $64.39 to $92.09 per hour. A candidate’s placement in the range will be determined based on the terms and conditions of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
