Registered Nurse (RN), PACU PRN NEW

About the role

PACU RN positions at UP Health System - Bell are available on a PRN basis. These roles require a current Michigan RN license and an associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (with a bachelor's degree preferred).

Responsibilities

• Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
• Documents patient care given.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
• Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients and staff.
• Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
• Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
• Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Requirements

• Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP)
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)

Qualifications

• Current Michigan RN license.
• Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's degree preferred).
