About the role
We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to provide specialized patient care in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Key responsibilities
- Assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care within established standards
- Providing patient and family education on post-treatment care, medications, and recovery processes
- Promoting patient safety, quality care, and regulatory compliance
- Developing and documenting individualized care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team and patients
- Assessing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences and cultural factors
- Participating in professional development and quality improvement activities
Qualifications and skills
- Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate's degree; Bachelor's degree preferred
- No prior experience required; less than 2 years preferred
- Critical care experience is a plus
- Ability to work safely, remain alert, and handle high-pressure situations
Schedule
- Work involves a 3/12s shift schedule, with on-call responsibilities
