Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU, per diem/day shift

About the role

As an RN in this role, you will assume responsibility to lead our team in providing quality patient care. The PACU nurse demonstrates advanced knowledge, skills and experience in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating post-operative surgical patient care. Is responsible for monitoring patient's physiological status in the immediate post-op environment. Communicates with the surgeons and Anesthesiologists continuously, and as needed, about patient conditions receiving direction for patient management. Acts as a role model to staff members. Is able to effectively manage teamwork concept. Remains flexible in response to changes.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates advanced knowledge, skills and experience in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating post-operative surgical patient care.
• Maintains continuous communication with surgeons and Anesthesiologists regarding patient conditions.
• Acts as a role model to staff members.
• Manages teamwork concept and remains flexible in response to changes.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license.
• Critical Care experience required.

Qualifications

• BCLS, ACLS, & PALS certifications.

Skills

• Advanced knowledge, skills and experience in post-operative surgical patient care.
• Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
• Flexibility in managing changing situations.

Benefits

The pay range listed for this position is the base hourly wage range the organization reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for this position at this time. The pay range for this position is established and governed by the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement. Employees hired into this position will receive compensation consistent with the terms of the applicable collective bargaining agreement.

Pay

Pay Range $37.00 - $84.71
