Registered Nurse (RN) - PACU
About the role
Reporting to the Clinical Nurse Manager of PACU, provides airway assessment and management, cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring, pulse oximetry, and ongoing nursing assessment, diagnosis and intervention to all patients receiving any anesthetic which serve to alter the patient's level of consciousness in the immediate post-operative phase. Responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide comprehensive care appropriate to the age of the patients served on their assigned unit, as directed by nursing management. Nursing care is provided in accordance with the stated philosophy and standards established by the Nursing Service Department, regulatory agencies and professional organizations. The Registered Nurse is accountable for the safety of nursing care they deliver or supervise. The Registered Nurse is responsible to the patient and the family or significant others for the quality of direct and indirect nursing care delivered.

- Being responsible to patients and families for the quality of direct and indirect nursing care
Requirements
- Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Experience: Minimum two years of medical/surgical experience; critical care or emergency experience preferred
- Licensure/Certification: Current Massachusetts professional nurse license; BLS healthcare provider; ACLS; PALS

Pay
Pay range: $37.88 – $75.78 per hour
Schedule
Full‑time position with variable shifts; typically four 9‑hour shifts between 7 am and 10 pm
