Responsibilities

• Performs plan-of-care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
• Documents patient care provided in a timely and accurate manner.
• Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to the care team, physicians, patients, and families.
• Assists patients with activities of daily living (hygiene, elimination, nutrition, ambulation).
• Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate care (transfers, discharges, referrals, psychosocial/spiritual support).
• Assesses learning needs and delivers age/culture-appropriate patient/family education.
• Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
• Participates in performance improvement and required continuing education.

Requirements

• Current VA or compact state nursing license.
• Associate's degree in nursing (required).
• Bachelor's degree in nursing (preferred).
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (required).
• AHA ACLS and PALS (required within six months of hire).
• Previous experience in an acute care hospital setting (preferred).

Pay

Hourly range: $31.49 - $42.51 per hour.

Schedule

Monday - Friday.
