About the role
This position is located at the Richard L. Roudebush VAMC in the Brownsburg CBOC within the Primary Care Service.
Responsibilities
- Delivers and coordinates complex primary care - including gender-specific Veteran care - health education - and chronic disease management.
- Leads evidence-based practice.
- Manages patient panels.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams.
- Supports policy development to improve Primary Care outcomes.
- Upholds VA missions.
Requirements
- Basic English Language Proficiency.
- Graduate of a school of professional nursing approved by the appropriate accrediting agency.
- Current - full - active - and unrestricted registration as a graduate professional nurse.
- Primary care experience preferred.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Nurse I - Level I: Associate Degree (ADN) or Diploma in Nursing.
- Nurse I - Level II: ADN or Diploma in Nursing AND 1 year of specialized nursing experience.
- Nurse I - Level III: ADN or Diploma in Nursing AND 2 years of professional nursing experience; BSN and 1 year of professional nursing experience; Master's degree in nursing (MSN); Master's degree in a related field with a BSN; Doctoral degree in Nursing; Doctoral degree in a related field with a BSN.
- Nurse II: BSN with 2 years of professional nursing experience; MSN with 1 year of specialized nursing experience; Master's degree in a related field with a BSN and 1 year of specialized nursing experience; Doctoral degree in Nursing; Doctoral degree in a related field with a BSN and 1 year of specialized nursing experience.
- Nurse III: MSN and 2 years of specialized nursing experience; Master's degree in a related field with a BSN and 2 years of specialized nursing experience; Doctoral degree in Nursing; Doctoral degree in a related field with a BSN and 1 year of specialized nursing experience.
- Experience:
- Primary care experience preferred.
