About the role
Lee Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) Outpatient Nurse Navigator for a nursing job in Fort Myers, Florida.
Responsibilities
- Uses a multidisciplinary team approach and acts as a liaison between the patient, staff and referring physician offices as well as ancillary areas of the hospital system.
- Identifies timely diagnostic results and facilitates and coordinates patient care.
- Facilitates a timely, integrated and coordinated approach to the care of patients with cancer and to provide quality nursing care for the patients with cancer or related health issues.
- Identifies learning needs and content for educational programs.
- Develops, presents, coordinates and evaluates educational activities.
- Effectively performs in the role of clinician, facilitator, advocate, consultant and/or researcher.
Requirements
- Educational Requirements: Degree/Diploma Obtained, Program of Study Required/Preferred Bachelor's Nursing or Healthcare Related
- Experience Requirements: Minimum Years Required, Area of Experience Required/Preferred 3 Years Medical Specialty Required State of Florida Licensure Requirements: Licenses Required/Preferred Registered Nurse License
- Certifications/Registration Requirements: Certificates/Registrations Required/Preferred BLS required. Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) required.
- Other Requirements: Membership in professional/academic organizations desired. Basic computer skills in MS Windows, Word, PowerPoint and Excel.
