Registered Nurse (RN), Outpatient Infusion Therapy, Full Time, Days

About the Role
The Level II MWHC nurse demonstrates clinical competence, collaborates with the healthcare team, and integrates research into practice to enhance patient care. You will assume accountability for providing total, continuous, and patient-centered care for an assigned group of patients using the nursing process of assessment, diagnosing, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
Responsibilities
- Direct and coordinate nursing care, including oversight of licensed and unlicensed personnel in assigned or delegated tasks.
- Coordinate involvement of the patient, family, and health team members in patient care, including teaching and discharge planning.
- Communicate and coordinate the plan of care and pertinent information to/from other healthcare team members.
- Assist leadership in defining standards of excellence for patient care; participate in performance and quality improvement activities.
- Participate in the orientation of new permanent and temporary staff members.
- Serve as a point of contact on hospital and departmental policies and procedures for nurses and other health team members.
- Participate in daily operational activities to ensure a safe patient/staff environment.
- Provide input to the Nurse Manager regarding unit needs.
- Participate in unit, departmental, and hospital committees for the formulation of nursing and hospital policies.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program with experience as a Registered Nurse.
- Valid RN License from Virginia or a reciprocal compact state.
- AHA BLS Provider CPR certification required at hire.
- NIHSS (Bluecloud) certification required within 90 days of hire (for ASN track).
Qualifications
ASN Track
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) from an accredited program.
- BSN preferred.
BSN Track
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required.
Pay
Hourly pay range:
- ASN: $38.65 - $49.19 USD
- BSN: $40.31 - $51.31 USD
Physical Requirements
- Constant (67-100% of workday) walking, standing, use of arms and hands.
- Frequent (34-66% of workday) bending, stooping, kneeling, and squatting.
- Ability to lift 35 lbs. and push/pull 20 lbs.
- Auditory and visual skills, including color determination.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and reach overhead.

- Capacity to cope with difficult situations and tolerate irregular hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
Environmental Requirements
