About the Role
The registered nurse provides professional nursing care to patients and families, collaborating with physicians and healthcare team members to ensure quality care.
Responsibilities
- Administers medications and treatments following nursing standards.
- Prepares equipment and assists providers during procedures and examinations.
- Monitors, records, and reports patient conditions and responses to treatments.
- Schedules appointments, manages patient flow, and prioritizes emergency cases.
- Gathers patient health history, takes vitals, conducts assessments, and documents information.
- Responds to patient calls, educates families on health topics, and addresses care concerns.
- Maintains exam rooms, ensures cleanliness, and manages medical supplies.
- Labels pathology specimens and performs quality control on lab tests.
Requirements
- Active RN license in the state of practice.
- Effective communication skills and visual acuity for position duties.
