About the role

The Banner Estrella Medical Center Medical/Surgical 6A Unit is seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join a team focused on orthopedic and acute care post-surgical patients. The unit operates with a 5:1 nurse-to-patient ratio and has a strong servant leadership culture.

Responsibilities

• Achieve patient assessments, develop and implement care plans, and evaluate patient progress.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
• Utilize specialized knowledge and skills to deliver high-quality patient care.
• Evaluate patient responses to care and adjust plans accordingly.
• Document patient care accurately and in accordance with policy.

Requirements

• Current RN license in state of practice.
• BLS certification.
• One year experience in acute care or related field.
• Experience with self-scheduling tools and shift differentials.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Professional certification preferred.
