About the Role
A great opportunity for an LPN or RN to join our clinic in a Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm schedule (80 hours per 2-week pay period). This position offers a team-oriented atmosphere with no nights, weekends, or holidays. You will assist with office procedures and may be eligible for a $6,000 sign-on bonus.
This position may also qualify for Avera’s Student Loan Repayment Program, providing an additional $167 monthly payment (up to $10,000) to help pay down your principal balance faster.
Responsibilities
- Performs general nursing care to patients and administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Coordinates patient care activities for the clinic and prepares equipment to assist providers during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing.
- Observes, records, and reports patient conditions and reactions to drugs and treatments to the provider.
- Oversees appointment scheduling, ensuring timely patient flow and prioritizing emergency situations.
- Greets patients, prepares them for examinations, screens for health history, takes vitals, and conducts nursing assessments.
- Documents patient information in charts and instructs patients on sample collection and testing procedures.
- Responds to patient phone calls promptly with appropriate physician input.
- Educates patients and families on diagnostic processes, medications, nutrition, and wellness maintenance.
- Addresses patient care crises and complaints with suggested solutions.
- Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies, ensures cleanliness, and prepares lists of required medical supplies.
- Ensures proper labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocols and performs quality control on lab testing.
Requirements
- Active LPN or RN license in the state of practice upon hire.
- Ability to work the specified hours (Monday-Friday, 8:00am-4:30pm).
- Visual acuity and communication skills adequate to perform position duties, including hearing, understanding, and distinguishing speech and other sounds.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $41.25 per hour, dependent upon experience.
