Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Medical Assistant (MA) | Pediatric Clinic

About the role
This nurse will serve as the primary nurse for Dr. Natalie Hutton, Pediatrician, supporting a high-volume practice. Rotate with the other nursing staff to cover the Acute Care Clinic; Friday 1pm-7pm and Saturday 9am-12pm once every 10-12 weeks.
Pay
The pay range for this position is dependent upon experience:
- RN: $27.75 - $41.25
- LPN: $24.50 - $33.75
- Medical Assistant: $20.00 - $28.00
Eligible candidates may receive the following bonuses:
- RN: $10,000-$15,000 Sign On Bonus and $2,500 Relocation Bonus
- LPN: $7,500-$10,000 Sign On Bonus and $1,500 Relocation Bonus
- Medical Assistant: $7,500 Sign On Bonus and $1,500 Relocation Bonus
Responsibilities
- Performs general nursing care to patients.
- Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
- Coordinates the patient care activities for the clinic.
- Prepares equipment and assists provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing of patients.
- Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider.
- Oversees appointment scheduling and ensures preferences are given to patients in emergency situations.
- Maintains timely flow of patients.
- Greets patients and prepares them for physical examination.
- Screens patients for appropriate information including obtaining the health history, taking vitals, and conducting a nursing assessment.
- Documents obtained information in patient chart.
- Instructs patient in collection of samples and tests.
- Responds to patient phone calls in a timely manner with appropriate input from the physician.
- Educates patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and maintenance of health and wellness.
- Suggests solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints.
- Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials. Ensures cleanliness.
- Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
- Assures appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol as needed.
- Performs quality control and maintains records on all lab testing.
Requirements
The individual must be able to work the specified hours, including rotating days, evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Must have visual acuity adequate to perform position duties and the ability to communicate effectively with others, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.

Qualifications
Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in the state of practice upon hire.
