Responsibilities
- Provides professional nursing care to patients and families.
- Communicates with physicians and other healthcare team members to provide excellent patient care.
- Performs general nursing care to patients, including administering prescribed medications and treatments.
- Captures and documents patient information in the patient chart.
- Coordinates patient care activities for the clinic, including preparing equipment and assisting providers during procedures.
- Assists with appointment scheduling and ensures patient preferences are given priority.
- Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and materials, ensuring cleanliness.
- Documents vitals and conducts nursing assessments.
- Trains patients on sample collection and test preparation.
- Responds to patient phone calls, providing timely support using protocols and critical thinking.
- Educates patients and families about diagnostic processes, medications, nutrition, and maintaining health and wellness.
- Suggests solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints.
- Prepares a list of medical supplies needed and assures appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol.
- Performs quality control and maintains records on all lab testing.
Requirements
- Must be able to work the hours specified.
- Active license in the state of practice upon hire.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Board of Nursing.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.

- Knowledge of nursing standards and protocols.
- Proficiency in patient care documentation and record-keeping.
