Avera 69th & Cliff Clinic – regular, day-shift position.

Position Highlights

• 4.5 days/week float position
• RN pay range: $27.75–$41.25 per hour
• LPN pay range: $22.50–$31.50 per hour

About the Role

Provides professional nursing care under the direction of the provider as part of a compassionate, multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Performs general nursing care to patients.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
• Coordinates patient care activities for the clinic.
• Prepares equipment and assists provider during procedures, treatments, examinations, and testing.
• Observes, records, and reports patient’s condition and reactions to drugs and treatments to provider.
• Oversees appointment scheduling and ensures preferences are given to patients in emergency situations; maintains timely patient flow.
• Greets patients and prepares them for physical examination; screens patients for health history and vitals.
• Documents obtained information in patient chart.
• Instructs patients in collection of samples and tests.
• Responds to patient phone calls in a timely manner with appropriate input from the physician.
• Educates patients and families about diagnostic process, medications, nutrition, and wellness.
• Suggests solutions to patient care crisis problems and complaints.
• Maintains exam rooms with necessary supplies and ensures cleanliness.
• Prepares list of medical supplies needed.
• Assures appropriate labeling of pathology specimens according to lab protocol.
• Performs quality control and maintains records on all lab testing.

Requirements

• Must be able to work the specified hours.
• Visual acuity adequate to perform position duties.
• Ability to communicate effectively, hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) with an active license in the state of practice.
