About the role
Provide high-quality, patient-centered care through the nursing process in a surgical or labor/delivery setting.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure safe, effective patient care.
- Administer medications safely, adhering to policies to reduce errors.
- Maintain patient safety, accurate documentation, and effective communication.
- Demonstrate flexibility, critical thinking, and autonomous practice in stressful situations.
- Provide age-appropriate care, interpret patient data, and ensure safe transfer of care.
- Prepare operating rooms, maintain aseptic technique, and manage specimen processing.
- Assist with C-sections in labor/delivery settings.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
- Current RN license in Connecticut.
- CPR certification upon hire.
- Experience in surgical or labor/delivery settings.
