About the role
The Registered Nurse (RN) at Miami Valley Hospital operates in the Operating Room. This position is full-time, working from 6:45am to 7:15pm, with a 72-hour pay cycle.
Responsibilities
- Partners with and advocates for patients/families/significant others to provide physical, emotional, and spiritual support.
- Functions in a versatile role that demonstrates professionalism and promotes excellence and autonomy in nursing practice.
- Utilizes the nursing process in conjunction with evidence-based principles to care for a diverse caseload of patients within the department scope of service.
- Serves as a guide, healer, collaborator, teacher, leader, and sentry.
- Collaborates with and guides care delivered by the inter-professional team.
- Ensures compliance with the Ohio Nurse Practice Act, Nursing Code of Ethics, and applicable regulatory standards.
Requirements
- Minimum education: Associate degree in Nursing, or BSN preferred.
- Preferred educational qualifications: BSN.
- Experience: No prior job-related work experience required.
- Licensure/Certification/Registration: Valid Ohio RN license, current American Heart Association CPR certification.

- Knowledge/Skills: Ability to multitask with constant interruptions while maintaining a pleasant demeanor, basic computer knowledge, strong organization skills, effective interpersonal and communication skills.
