Job Summary
This position may qualify for a sign‑on bonus. Under minimal supervision, the RN provides professional nursing care for patients ranging in age from newborns to adults, following established standards and practices. The role supports the mission, policies, and procedures of the Baptist Health System, completes established competencies within the designated introductory period, and performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Minimum Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum Experience: None
- Preferred Experience: Completion of peri‑anesthesia or critical care internship/training course
- Required Certifications/Licensure: Current Texas State License for Registered Nurse or eligibility for state board certification
- Preferred Certifications/Licensure: Surgery – CNOR (board eligible/certified); Post‑Anesthesia – CPAN (board eligible/certified); GI Lab – SGNA (board eligible/certified)
- Required Courses/Completions: BLS (American Heart Association or Military Training Network); ACLS (required for all Surgery Services, to be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer); PALS (required for Post‑Anesthesia, to be obtained within 6 months of hire or transfer)
