Responsibilities
- Delivers direct and indirect patient care in the peri-operative setting through the nursing process.
- Coordinates care with surgeons and anesthesiologists.
- Directs and guides OR Technicians and other personnel.
- Maintains standards of professional nursing.
- Works with other departments to provide a continuum of care.
- Coordinates with co-workers to ensure continuous, quality patient care.
- Ensures efficient patient flow and unit maintenance and organization.
- Adheres to regulations, standards, and hospital/unit policies and procedures.
- Participates in performance improvement activities, unit meetings, and in-services.
- Acts as a resource for other personnel as needed.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Current PALS (AHA) certificate 30 days upon hire and maintain current.
- Minimum of one year previous perioperative experience or on-the-job training.
- Certified Nurse OR (CNOR) Certification (AORN) preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Pay
The current compensation range for this role is $52.89 to $66.05. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
