Registered Nurse (RN) Oncology Nurse Navigator, 40 hours/week, day shift

About the role

This role operates within a multidisciplinary team to offer assistance to patients, families and caregivers to ease the burden of a complicated healthcare system from diagnosis through end of life care.

Responsibilities

• Collaborates with physicians, nurses, pharmacy, social work, office support staff, as well as community services to support an individual's oncology journey
• Provides phone triage to support patient care and symptom management from home
• Pilots all logistics to maintain a patient's continuity of care including oral prescription management, referral maintenance and follow up care
• Assists hematology/oncology physicians in sterile procedures (bone marrow biopsies)
• Acts as an active member on all multidisciplinary tumor boards and department committees
• Floating to IV Infusion as needed is required
• This role also floats to IV Infusion and is cross campus between Beverly and Gloucester

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of recent oncology nursing experience required
• Graduate of approved School of Nursing
• BSN Preferred
• OCN/ONS preferred (must obtain within one year of employment if not certified)

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 8-hour shifts, in-person position with flexibility to work from home.

Pay

$37.00 - $84.71
