Registered Nurse (RN) - Oncology

About the role

The role involves providing specialized pediatric hematology/oncology nursing care in an 11-bed unit, supporting infants, children, adolescents, and young adults with complex disorders.

Responsibilities

• Conducting comprehensive patient assessments
• Administering evidence-based treatments
• Advocating for patients
• Collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated, safe care
• Delivering compassionate education to patients and families
• Maintaining accurate documentation
• Participating actively in interdisciplinary rounds to facilitate seamless care transitions

Requirements

• Active New Jersey RN license
• Current BLS certification
• Certifications such as ACLS, PALS, and APHON Chemotherapy
• Minimum of one year of pediatric care experience (pediatric oncology experience preferred)
