About the role

MidState Medical Center is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for their Observation Unit. The Observation Unit Registered Nurses have the opportunity to practice at the top of their license, using research, innovation and evidence-based practices. They also receive clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities as they complete their Observation Unit Nurse Residency.

Responsibilities

  • Provide care to patients in the Observation Unit setting
  • Adhere to all safety protocols and guidelines
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and education
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care
  • Assist in the supervision and mentoring of student nurses and recent graduates

Requirements

  • Current Connecticut RN License required within 90 days of hire
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school
  • BLS certification by the American Heart Association
  • One-year recent Acute Care RN experience preferred, however Graduate Nurses are encouraged to apply
