Registered Nurse RN - Observation
About the role
The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. They provide direct patient care within the scope of practice, direct and guide patient/family teaching, and manage activities of other nursing personnel.
Responsibilities
- Delivers safe patient care utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
- Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice.
- Directs and guides patient/family teaching and activities of other nursing personnel.
- Maintains standards of care in the Med/Surg/Telemetry Unit.
- Communicates with physicians about changes in the patient's clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptomatology.
- Responds quickly and accurately to changes in the patient's condition and/or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Certified Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire and maintain current.
- Certified Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) upon hire and maintain current.
- Basic arrhythmia interpretation within 30 days of hire.
- Previous acute care hospital experience preferred.
- Ventilator management experience preferred.
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Qualifications
- Current and valid state RN License.

Pay
The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure. The reasonable compensation for this role is $43.00 per hour.
Schedule
Per Diem Days, 12-hour shifts.
