Responsibilities
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Maintains accurate and timely communication of patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Aids patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Performs other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Current Michigan RN license.
- Associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
- One-year medical surgical experience required.
- OB experience or OB qualifications (preferred).
- NRP, AWHONN, EFM, STABLE and PEOP (within 6 months).
- Annual influenza vaccination or declination required.
Qualifications
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP).
Skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in electronic health record systems.

Schedule
This position offers 3 x 12-hour Night/Day shifts per week, with Nights being the primary shift. Additionally, there are Christmas Even Years plus every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday.
