Responsibilities
- Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
- Documents patient care given.
- Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
- Maintains patient confidentiality.
- Makes rounds to assess patient status and ensure compliance with care plans.
- Assists patients with performing activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Completes other job duties as assigned.
Requirements
- A current Michigan RN license.
- An associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
- One-year medical surgical experience required.
- OB experience or OB qualifications (preferred).
- NRP, AWHONN, EFM, STABLE and PEOP certifications within 6 months.
- Annual influenza vaccination or declination required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
- Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP) certification.

Pay
Commensurate with experience.
Schedule
12-hour (7-7) Night/Day shifts (Nights Primary), Christmas Even Years plus Every 3rd Weekend and Every 3rd Holiday.
