Responsibilities

  • Performs plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, as well as other medical care treatment.
  • Documents patient care given.
  • Maintains accurate and timely documentation of patient care.
  • Maintains a safe and clean environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Works as an advocate for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.

Requirements

  • A current Michigan RN license.
  • An associate's degree from an accredited nursing school (bachelor's preferred).
  • Basic Life Support Health Care Provider (BLS-HCP).
  • One-year medical surgical experience required.
  • OB experience or OB qualifications (preferred).
  • NRP, AWHONN, EFM, STABLE and PEOP (within 6 months).
  • Annual influenza vaccination or declination required.

Qualifications

  • Current CPR certification.
  • Experience with electronic medical records (EMR).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Ability to work flexible hours, including rotating shifts.

Pay

Commensurate with experience.

Schedule

4 - 6 x 12-hour Day/Night shifts/pp, (Days Primary, 7-7), Christmas Even Years plus Every 3rd Weekend and Every 3rd Holiday.
