Registered Nurse (RN)-NICU-Part Time
About the role
The position involves working under the supervision of the Nurse Manager and the Director, focusing on the assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating of nursing care for assigned patients. This role can be found in various settings within the Women and Infant Complex and Riverside Health System.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates ability to assess patient clinical and psychosocial needs by applying standards of practice as it relates to the specialty or patient population served in the Women and Infant units/departments.
- Partners with patients and families to develop, implement, and evaluate a plan of care, treatments, and procedures that contribute to the physiological and psychosocial outcomes of the patient.
- Accurately completes all required clinical and quality documentation consistently per RHS standards and regulatory requirements.
- Evaluates for patient comprehension and documents.
- Delegates and prioritizes tasks appropriately to facilitate quality patient care and ensure patient care needs are met.
- Able to recognize and respond to emergency situations.
- Evaluates own needs for support and uses identified systems to meet those needs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (Preferred), Associates Degree in Nursing (Preferred), or Program Graduate in Nursing (Nursing Diploma is minimum education requirement, Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Nursing accepted in lieu of Nursing Diploma).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- One year RN experience (Preferred).
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC) Upon Hire.
Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) or licensed in a compact state.
Skills
Must demonstrate competence in dealing with age-related needs of the specific patient populations served in the Women and Infant units/departments. Must have the ability to communicate, think critically, solve problems, and make decisions to create a care plan for each patient based on physiological, psychosocial, and cultural diversity.

Actual pay is determined based on job-related factors such as relevant experience, education, credentials, skills, internal equity, and business needs.
Pay
Hiring Range $38.60 - $53.08/Hourly
